[Recce]Woolwich Arsenal, July 2007 [Too Late]

Situated next to HMP Belmarsh this is one of the last reminders of the areas military history... or it was. Plans for a new prison on the site have been announced and duly given the go ahead. As the official timescale is for the prison to open in 2008, work was set to start quickly.

So in July I paid the site a visit. After coming close to an encounter with the dog handlers from Belmarsh, who now appear to patrol the area, I decided it was best to leave it. Had it not been for 2 very helpful workers from the industrial estate - I could well have got myself into a spot of bother!
