[Recce]Birchwood Primary School, October 2007

This primary school shut it's doors for the last time in July. This was following many almagamations of Kent Primary Schools. As such, There are now numerous closed Primary Schools in Kent just waiting to be explored - This, Might not be one of them.

I live nearby so it was a real walk in the park to get here. Then finding a suitable place to climb over the rather secure fencing [luckily the anti-climb paint was crap].  Once inside the perimeter I took a few photos before noticing my worst nightmare - the car of the caretaker and CCTV.

I still stuck about to take a few photos, I spotted a way in and decided to go home and change my shoes. [Rather girly excuse :P]  Once I got home I re-thought the whole situation.

Was it worth the risks just to get into a Primary School? Access was going to be a bit of a challenge - but looked fun. There was CCTV and no doubt PIRs and alarm systems. I decided it wasn't worth it just to see a rather small, average primary school.

But, Should planning permission be granted on that land - I *will* go in to "record" the building. Because once planning permission is granted it becomes different in my eyes.
