Benenden Hospital, Easter 2008

After an attempt at Rochester Police Station which led to a local chav offering to make an entry point for us, we decided to try somewhere else. With shorts tunnels done, we headed off to Tonbridge to try this place.

Touted as a film location, this ward of the (still active) Benenden Hospital is covered in CCTV and was locked down pretty well. After a little bit of investigating - we soon had our way in. Once inside we were greeted with many beds - just stacked up as storage.

Whilst walking this building, I constantly expected some form of security presense. The only real scare was when we managed to lock a door at the bottom of a staircase - meaning we had to leave through a fire exit; which was fortunately not alarmed. Then we had somene go back in there to close off our access point.

Over all - a few interesting finds, and a beautiful surrounding; however - nothing that made this stand out really. It was however a challenge, and quite a test of nerves!

1. The exterior seemed more like a holiday camp than a hospital..

2. Beds were stacked up in corridors - the colour scheme didn't help the feeling of.. blandness.

3. One of the many medical curios on offer here!
