Moddy Juxtaposes

"The Interactive Resume" launched!

I've just spent the afternoon developing a new micro-site with the idea of presenting a new and practical way of showcasing my CV! The Interactive Resume aims to demonstrate all the ideas and points that a traditional CV/Resume would; but in a more interactive and easier-to-process way.

The technical details of the site are rather less impressive; with a simplistic template edited via The Gimp. ALL of the actual web development was done in a VERY simple text editor - without even syntax highlighting; so it did inspire a few headaches! (Unfortunately I still don't have access to my usual computer, so I don't have the correct resources.. as this PC barely works!) I also implemented a few js scripts - for things like collapsible/expandable layers, as well as a script called "CurvyCorners" that allowed me to curve the edges of specific layers.

Keeping in line with other website updates though; Here's a quick "todo" list about up and coming updates to the site!

To do:

More updates!

I have now wrote and uploaded reports for BNG Littlebrook, Birchwood Primary School and Benenden Hospital.

Currently doing the technology write-ups - specifically the USB interface board. I hope to have this completed within the next 24 hours. Then the proof-reading commences... !

The Domain name appears to be working for everyone now!

Site updates!

First up - Check out the Urbex page - I just copied all of my old reports over and have wrote a handy little PHP script to get them to embed in this site via an iframe. (Poor technique - I know!)

I've also played around with a few different blogging systems - but I've decided to stick with LiveJournal simply because it's hosting all of my images at the moment, so I'd like to keep it active! It also has some neat features, a large community and is stable.

Furthermore - I've messed around with a few different gallery systems but decided to write my own rather simple gallery. It's implemented really simply using a table of thumbnails and a hidden iframe. (Sorry again!) Saved a lot of messing around with flash and its relative bloat, when all can be achieved using pure HTML.

Please note: The domain name is currently working for most users, however there has been some problems with certain ISPs. Please wait for the DNS propagation to take place - this is currently in progress!
